Queensland
Information on water access entitlements (known as water allocations in Queensland) is held on the Water Allocations Register, which is managed by the Registrar of Water Allocations (also the Registrar of Land Titles) within the Land Information and Titles Registry Office. For a nominal fee, customers can obtain hard copies of titles and dealings lodged or registered in the register by making a request at a Land Information and Titles Registry Office or online via an approved public access provider. It is also possible for a customer to track the status of their dealing lodged in the register, online via the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) web site .
The following market information is available:
- permanent water trades (water access entitlement trades) reports via the DERM web site. These reports contain water trade volumes and pricing information and are available monthly for the current year and aggregated to financial year summaries at an annual level.
- individual or multiple sale price data reports are available from DERM Customer Service Centres Land Information and Titles Office. A fee applies for these reports.
- bulk water sales data is available by entering into a licence agreement with DERM as a public access provider.
