Water quality management and monitoring and advising the government on policy recommendations.

Provide environmental advice to the minister.

Prepare environmental protection policies and state environment policies under the Environmental Protection Act 1986.

Manages and protects the river system, advises the Minister for Environment on development proposals within the Trust's management area and controls and prevents pollution of river systems.
